The body of a young woman is found--piece by piece. The ghastly mementos are being delivered to Detective Lucas Stonecoat and psychiatrist Dr. Meredyth Sanger, signaling the beginning of a gruesome game. But who's playing it? Why? And how far will it go next?

Arthur and Lauralie are an average couple--in every way but one. In the privacy of their isolated farm, they share a taste for the macabre. Utterly devoted to each other, they'll do anything--to anyone--to keep their love alive. Now they're engaging another couple in love to play along...

But how close to the edge of madness are Lucas and Meredyth willing to go to survive?

(This book is fourth in Robert W. Walker's Edge series. It was originally published in paperback.)

Lauralie an orphan, has learned how to get what she wants in life, petite, attractive and elf like but unfortunately no conscience and issues . Dr. Arthur Belkuin was a Professor of Animal Surgery at Dean King School of Veterinary Medicine and a DVM with a failing local practice and modestly unattractive. Relationships were a mystery to Arthur unmarried with no real relationships in his past and now he was involved with a young woman in her mid-twenties half his age and he was willing to do anything to keep her. Unfortunately he was quickly becoming if not a monster at least Igor to her twisted Frankenstein. Going as far as misusing his surgical skills to pick apart a dead woman's corpse for sexual favors from this woman half his age. Detective Lucas Stonecoat and Police Psychiatrist Dr. Meredyth Sanger are both receiving twisted little care packages of human remains. Meredyth unbeknownst to her because she had been part of Child Protective Service when Luaralie was given up by her mother. Lucas because he now worked closely with Dr. Sanger and that whole guilt by association thing.
This is a fairly well written story , I found it a little less hectic and with a little less punch then the previous books but did enjoy thestory.

Final Edge Cherokee Justice The Edge Series #4 edition by Robert W Walker Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

If the story had not been good, I would never have finished reading the book. There are so many misspelled words, totally incorrect words, i.e. die instead of the, throughout the book that it is difficult to read.Someone needs to proofread, edit, and properly format this book. If I had paid for this I would be asking for a refund
Very good story line. Keeps you turning pages, but there are so many spelling and typographical errors, it detracts from the enjoyment.
I really liked the suspense and adventurous storylines in this book, the characters were interesting right up to the killer then the skills of the medical examiner's were fantastic. I would share with all my personal book club friends.
This book was a interesing story line but it took the author quite a while to get there. The story line was just interesting enough to want to find out how the story ended but I did get a little frustrated with how the author overdid the details.
I have all 11 books of the EDGE Series and I am on the 7th in the series. They are very good reading. The only thing, I have found some spelling errors, but I still can tell what the word is. For example burn comes out bum, and any word like "that'll" comes out "that'7." I enjoy the series and think R. W. Walker is a very good author.
My first venture into the Edge Series makes me wonder why I hadn't heard of this series before. Its quick, fun and crazy. Makes me want to read the first three and any that follow.
Fantastic, with not a trace of exaggeration! I have to say that this is without a doubt one of the best police mystery, procedural and in its own way romance books I've ever read. I gave it five stars only because there weren't more available! Please, if you are a fan of this genre buy this book although it is part of a series it will work as a stand alone. I give it my highest recommendation for what that's worth. Never-ending action plus the unique serial killer will grab the attention of even the most jaded hard core fan of this genre. I'm not going to give any spoilers, but will say that the ending had me in tears, happy or sad I'm not saying, read the book to find out which.
